Ken Barnes

Ken Barnes

Hello, my name is Ken Barnes and I am running to serve on the Zoning Board of Appeals. My wife Debbie and I have been residents of Wolcott for 34 years. I have served on the ZBA for the past 16 years. Along with my experience on the board my qualifications include having worked for an International Retailer as Sr. Director of Development for 40 years.

I’m proud to have been one of the “First Dads” to help build the ball fields at the BAW along with coaching for several years when our sons Joe and Shawn were young and I’m also proud of being the co-founder of the Goal Club supporting WHS soccer and the Diamond Club supporting WHS baseball.

It has been and hopefully will continue to be an honor to serve our town. Your support in November is greatly appreciated.

Jim Treanor

Jim Treanor

I am Jim Treanor co-broker with son Jim Treanor Jr of Treanor Real Estate. I started in the business in 1993. We specialize in listing and selling homes in CT. I strongly agree that every working family should own a home versus renting.  This is because prior to reaching 65 this home will have been paid off. A tenant will have no choice but to continue paying rent. What if you bought another for investment? Every person that took my advice and bought more homes for investment just loves the extra income.

Married to June Treanor 43 years. In addition to my son, I have 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Thanks to God not only are they all are healthy, but they all have good jobs, and all have homes bigger than mine

I have been a private pilot flying primary Cessna’s and Pipers since 1986. I have also been a member-pilot in the Civil Air Patrol since 2015
